The nine wounds

Every bloc carries a wound that will not heal, and it predates Hell. Its internal history is that wound’s biography.

What was missing was the history of each kingdom with itself — and without it one cannot write a tale about a strike, a succession, a famine, a bankruptcy or a trial, because none of those had a date.

And the key: the wound is older than Hell and independent of it. That is why the bloc behaves as it behaves in the war — not the other way round.

The anchor battles have the rule "every victory creates the problem of the following age". Here the rule is another: every internal milestone aggravates the wound or tries to hide it, and never closes it.
