1. Where it is
40° to 44° N, a volcanic peninsula in the far south, pointing towards the meridional strait. ~600 km north-south, narrow. Bathed to the west by the Mare Chori, to the east by the contaminated Mar Tenebrum.
The two facts of position that decide everything:
- It is the lowest latitude on the continent. 250 days of growing season, twice Königsmark's.
- The Volkar stands over Seal III, and the most fertile land in Cross is the land at its foot.
The Meridian paradox, canonical: the land nearest a prison of Hell is the most productive in the world. Meridia cannot hate the Seal, for agricultural reasons.
