1. Where it sits
56° to 63° N, the far north of the continent. Some 900 km north to south, 450 east to west. A coast cut into fjords on the west and north; the Kal'arn Massif — Seal V — to the north-east; forest and plateau at the centre; a southern border with the Confederation and with Vykhradia.
The fact of position that decides everything: it lies on the wrong side of the Insular Current. The warm current rises along the west and curves away before this latitude.
Brithon sits at 55° and has +4 °C in January. Königsburg sits at 59° and has −9 °C. Four degrees of latitude, thirteen degrees of temperature. All of Königsmark is the consequence of that difference.

The almanac stays free and complete. The long text — contradictions, icebergs and everything the Curia would rather not explain — opens with a subscription.
The long-form wealth lives in the encyclopaedia. This is where you come to check a fact.
