Note on 1780: the column is by territory, not by state. What is today the Clerical Order was some forty principalities plus the See; what is today the Heptarchy was Veheran (12 million of kingdom proper) plus vassals and allied realms, adding up to 48 million. The Clerical Order only exists from 1813 onward; see The One.
Note on 1880: fixed at 296 million (and not 285, as it stood before) so that the decade of the Stagnation grows by 1.4% and the plateau is real. The whole boom stays inside the Age of Empire.
