The Seals broke one a year, east to west, between 1780 and 1786. That single fact explains the geopolitics of 1890: the east got no warning at all and six years of occupation; the centre got four years and was never occupied; the west got six years and less than twelve months of exposure.
After that come fifteen anchor battles, three per era — two defeats and one closing victory. And the rule that shapes them: every victory creates the problem of the next era. None resolves the war; two make it worse.
