There is no authorised description of Pandæmonium. There is no plan, no population figure, no list of districts and no map — and there will not be one.
Everything the continent believes it knows about the terrestrial capital of Hell comes from sources that contradict one another, and not one of them is reliable. Four expeditions went. Two returned. The two accounts do not agree on the number of gates, on the colour of the sky, or on whether the place has a river.
