46° to 54° N, the deep east and north-east. The territory of the old Vehrannon. Some 800 km north to south, and a western border that is the Limbus Mundi — the trail of the Archangels' wave, frozen where it was stopped in 1786.
The three facts of position that decide everything. It lies behind two rain barriers, the central axis and the Range of the Wrathful, and receives 330 mm a year — the least on the continent. It holds Seal VII, the epicentre: the rupture began here in 1780, beneath Ivandir, and the fissure is the largest in the world. And it is built on top of itself — the pact cities rest on the ruins of the Veherenic ones, and the cellars belong to another civilisation.
