Eight lineages cross the hundred and ten years of the canon. Six already existed buried in the tales and had never been extracted; two were completed in this wave.
Rule of reading: the houses do not move history. They move inside it, and what a house does in 1781 explains what a man does in 1888 without either of them altering a single canonical outcome.
The axis of the whole set is a symmetry. Two houses faced ruin at the same moment and answered in opposite ways. One spent a century buying influence and ended on the throne of the One. The other signed a pact over a debt and ended in Karzhar. The same question, answered twice, across five generations.
