The pact calendar

Each feast is a bloody rite + corrupted banquet + inverted sacrament. Pacted men hidden on the continent (in Aurum Roma, Velinia, Brithon) celebrate clandestinely on those dates. The Reformed Inquisition raises its watch.

I. General structure

• The pactuary year follows the same solar calendar (12 months, 365 days), but with inverted symbolisms.
• Beginning of the pactuary year: 14 March (the Christian Dies Cataclysmi). For the Pacted, it is the Red Hour — the celebration of the beginning of the Cataclysm as a liberation.
• Seven Patronal Feasts: one per Prince of Vice, each celebrated in its own Heptarch city.
• Four Feasts of the Mothers: separate, in the dimensional palace of the Four Mothers (in Cross, celebrated by hidden Lilim-witches).
• Inverted Pactuary Carnival: 40 days before the Christian Lent-analogue. A mocking parallel to the Carnival of Velinia.

II. The 7 Patronal Feasts — one per Prince

1. The Red Hour — Feast of Luzhar / Pride

• Date: 14 March (the Christian Dies Cataclysmi, in deliberate mockery).
• Heptarch city: Karzhar.
• Rite: a public festivity in the central square of Karzhar, in front of the tower of Black Mineral. The throne of Luzhar displayed (generally empty; the Emperor rarely attends). Pure Pactaries parade in ceremonial dress. A symbolic massacre of 7 Christian captives (rare — when there are any), on raised platforms.
• Banquet: wine with black mineral + black bread + fresh meat (from an elite captive — a Cardinal taken at the front, if there is one).
• Meaning: the commemoration of the Cataclysm as liberation. The anti-Cataclysm of the Christians.
• On the continent (hidden pacted men): a false wake in the name of a "dead relative" (cover) with a closed banquet. Absolute secrecy.

2. The Fair of Mammen — Feast of Mammen / Avarice

• Date: 15 August (the Feast of the Banner of Vykhradia, in mockery — the Pacted celebrate the counterfeiting of coin + the market of the soul).
• Heptarch city: Mammon-Ur.
• Rite: a great pactuary fair. Souls sold at public auction (the souls of captives taken over the year). Monetary pactuary sacraments (a mass-pact of small lesser pactaries).
• Banquet: ostentation. Gold + gilded wax + black mineral as coin at play. Captives tortured publicly in financial rituals.
• On the continent: hidden pacted men in clandestine markets. Meetings in bank offices by night.

3. The Night of Asmoteth — Feast of Asmoteth / Lust

• Date: 31 October (the eve of the Christian Feast of the Angels, in mockery).
• Heptarch city: Asmotheri.
• Rite: a ceremony of lineage in Asmotheri. Collective possession + a rite of alliance under a subordinate Eisheth. Concerted adult unions engender the pactuary Nephilim lineages.
• Banquet: sweet wine, fruit, meat.

The previous version of this feast described the engendering of Nephilim by minors. Corrected to adults.

• On the continent: hermetist salons in Brithon and Velinia (with the secret protection of an infiltrated Dawn of the Hashmal). A pre-Christian carnival. The Inquisition watches actively.

4. The Vigil of Leviath — Feast of Leviath / Envy

• Date: 20 September (between the Christian Feast of the Sea and the Feast of the Martyrs of the Ash, in mockery).
• Heptarch city: Leviakol (the pactuary port on the Mar Tenebrum).
• Rite: a naval ceremony. Siren-analogues call the pacted to the sea. A maritime sacrifice (casting a captive into the sea bound to a stone). A symbolic naval combat against the fleet of the Order (frequently real — the Pactuary fleet attacks the Maritima Coronata fleet on this day).
• Banquet: pactuary fish, shellfish with black mineral, sea wine (seawater fermented with pactuary honey).
• On the continent: hidden pactuary fishermen in Velinia and Coronata. Fishing for "special fish" in the night.

5. The Feast of Belzebar — Feast of Belzebar / Gluttony

• Date: 25 December (Christian Christmas, in deliberate mockery).
• Heptarch city: Belkar.
• Rite: an inhuman banquet. The market of Belkar works without stopping for 7 days. Ritualistic gorging: the pacted consume 7 complete meals in 24 hours. Captives consumed in ritual (human flesh served with wine).
• Banquet: everything. Meat, fish, sweet, fruit, cheese, wine — in obscene quantities. Ritualistic vomiting in order to "go on eating".
• On the continent: a clandestine supper in the house of hidden pacted men. The Inquisition doubles its watch on 24 December specifically.

6. The Sleep of Belifor — Feast of Belifor / Sloth

• Date: 21 December (the Winter Solstice, in deliberate mockery of the Feast of the Crowned Throne of Königsmark).
• Heptarch city: Belikatra (a city under snow).
• Rite: absolute silence. Ritual immobility for 24 hours. The pacted gather in cold chambers, lie down in silence, and do nothing during the shortest day of the year. The weak die in the rite — a ritual death held to be an honour (immediate transmutation into a servant of Belifor).
• No banquet as such. Cold bread + cold water distributed minimally.
• On the continent: hidden pacted men miss work on this day, shutting up the house. The Inquisition observes collective absenteeism as a sign of the pact.

7. The March of Sathnar — Feast of Sathnar / Wrath

• Date: 23 June (the Christian Festum Interventionis, the greatest mockery of the year — it celebrates the revolt of the Pacted as the antithesis of the Intervention of the Archangels).
• Heptarch city: Sathkar.
• Rite: a pactuary military march. Pactuary Hosts parade in Sathkar with armament of Black Mineral + standards of the Vices. Ritual combat: the pacted sacrifice servants in a public arena (captives against armed pacted men). Forges at full fire for 7 days — the maximum production of pactuary armament of the year.
• Banquet: grilled meat + bitter beer + wine with black mineral. Military music.
• On the continent: the most dangerous day of the year for White Mediums + Knights of the Seal (ritual assassinations for Sathnar are attempted by hidden pacted men). The Inquisition at maximum alert.

III. The 4 Feasts of the Mothers

The Four Mothers do not reside in Cross day to day — they inhabit the House of the Daughters (a parallel dimension). Their feasts are celebrated by hidden Lilim-witches on the continent on particular dates.
